But it is not easy to answer them — after all, the initial data is needed to calculate the cost of a plastic window. So without measuring, you can only get an approximate price, and then it will vary depending on the configuration of the structure.

And yet we will try to understand at least the basics of pricing — so it will be easier to find an answer to the question of how much it costs to replace the window.

What does the price of the window depend on?

A modern metal—plastic window is a modular structure that is assembled according to the principle of the designer. Therefore, its price will depend on several parameters.

The main factors

What should I pay attention to first?

• On the dimensions. Everything is obvious here — the larger the window, the more expensive it is. Moreover, structures with very large dimensions can often be made only on the basis of very durable (and therefore expensive) profile systems.
• On the configuration. The cheapest design is a blind window without opening shutters. Sashes increase the cost of the structure, and shtulpovye and sliding windows will cost more than standard swing.
• On the complete set. Here, too, everything is pretty obvious. The more cameras in the profile, the more cameras in the double—glazed window and the more additional elements in the fittings - the higher the price of a plastic window. Glass with additional functions (energy saving, burglary protection), burglar-proof fittings, reinforced reinforcement also increase the cost of the structure.
• On the design. White windows without additional decor are the most affordable. Decorative glazing, lamination and other solutions that improve the appearance of the structure, increase its cost.

Pay attention! We are talking here about standard rectangular windows. Arched, triangular or trapezoidal structures are considered non-standard, and therefore are more expensive. The main reason is the large proportion of manual labor in the manufacture of such windows.

Additional factors

In the previous section, we examined the most significant factors in pricing. But in addition to them, the price of a metal-plastic window can also be affected:

• Mounting. Standard installation is cheaper, installation according to DSTU (with the use of vapor barrier and vapor permeable mounting tapes) is more expensive. The reasons are quite clear — more expensive materials are used for installation according to DSTU, and the installation will take more time from the masters.
• Production time. If you are ready to wait, you will get a window at a standard price. For urgent production, you will have to overpay a little (usually the overpayment is small, but it also needs to be taken into account).
• Promotional offers. Window companies, especially large ones, often offer to buy a window in an extended configuration for the promotion. This is usually quite profitable — compared to buying a design in the same configuration outside of the promotion, you save up to 25-30% of the cost.
• Seasonality. From late autumn to early spring, the number of orders from window companies is rapidly falling — not everyone is ready to change windows in the cold season. You can take advantage of this, because window companies often reduce the price out of season in pursuit of a client.

Of course, these are not all factors that need to be taken into account. For example, the dismantling of old windows is usually included in the cost of installation, therefore it is not worth talking about it separately. But the removal of old frames will have to be paid separately — according to the current legislation, it is impossible to throw them into garbage containers.

The same applies to the finishing of the slopes. Some companies include this service in the cost of installation, some do not. In any case, the method of finishing the slopes should be negotiated in advance, because different technologies assume different costs of materials.

And yet, how much will it cost to install a new window? There are several ways to find out:

• The first is to go to the company salon of the window company and ask them to calculate the price of the window in the selected configuration. If you measure the dimensions at least approximately, then the calculation accuracy will be high.
• The second is to send a request to calculate the window on the site. To do this, it is enough to leave a request online and then answer the manager's questions.

Finally, if you only need to know the order of the digits, then you can focus on such amounts:

• For a window based on the WDS 5S profile — about 3.5 thousand UAH. a standard double—leaf window to the kitchen, about 5.6 thousand - a balcony block.
